Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], April 21: Abhishek Sharma, the dynamic opening batter for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), made headlines by achieving remarkable milestones during the IPL 2026 match against Delhi Capitals.


On Tuesday, Sharma showcased his extraordinary talent, scoring his second IPL century in just 47 balls, featuring an impressive 9 fours and 10 towering sixes.


He concluded his innings with an unbeaten 135 runs off 68 balls, helping Sunrisers Hyderabad amass a staggering total of 242 runs for 2 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. This innings marked his second century in IPL history.


Sharma's achievement of hitting 10 sixes in a single IPL match places him in an elite group, being only the second player after Chris Gayle to accomplish this feat multiple times.


With this performance, Abhishek now has nine T20 centuries, tying him with Virat Kohli among Indian players.


In the all-time rankings, Chris Gayle leads with 22 centuries, followed by Babar Azam with 12 and David Warner with 10. Abhishek joins the ranks of notable players like Quinton de Kock, Rilee Rossouw, and Sahibzada Farhan.
