The first match was contested between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals, while the second featured Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Delhi Capitals emerged victorious in the first match, whereas Sunrisers Hyderabad claimed the win in the second.


Significant Shifts in the Points Table

Following the 27th match of IPL 2026, the points table has seen considerable changes. While the top three teams remain unchanged, the positions of the teams below them have shifted dramatically.


After defeating RCB in the 26th match, Delhi Capitals solidified their position at number five. In the lower half of the table, Gujarat Titans are in sixth place with 6 points. Chennai Super Kings are seventh with 4 points, while Lucknow Super Giants also have 4 points in eighth. Mumbai Indians are ninth with 2 points, and Kolkata Knight Riders round out the table at the bottom with just 1 point.
