Announcement of IPL 2025 Playoff Venues

The venues for the IPL 2025 playoffs have been officially revealed. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to relocate the final match, which will now take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad instead of Kolkata. Ahmedabad previously hosted the IPL finals in both 2022 and 2023.

Additionally, the locations for Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator have also been changed. These matches will now be held at the Mullanpur ground, which was initially scheduled to take place in Hyderabad.

According to a statement from the BCCI on Tuesday, the IPL 2025 final is set for June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, which will also host Qualifier 2 on June 1. Meanwhile, the Maharaja Yadavendra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur will host Qualifier 1 on May 29 and the Eliminator on May 30. Previously, the final was slated for May 25 in Kolkata, with Qualifier 2 also scheduled at Eden Gardens. Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator were to be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

The BCCI stated that the IPL governing council made this decision regarding the new playoff venues after considering weather conditions and other factors. The board also confirmed that an additional hour has been allocated for the playoff phase to ensure that the remaining matches of the league phase can be played under similar conditions. This adjustment will commence with the match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday.
