Currently, India finds itself at the bottom of the group standings, having accumulated no points from two matches, following losses to Vietnam (1-2) and Japan (0-11). Japan leads the group with six points, while both Chinese Taipei and Vietnam are tied for second and third place with three points each.

Despite the challenging situation, the Blue Tigresses still have a pathway to the quarter-finals. To advance, they must secure a victory over Chinese Taipei by at least two goals, coupled with a win for Japan against Vietnam in the concurrent match. Head coach Amelia Valverde emphasized the necessity of moving past previous results. "The two matches we played were quite different.
