India's Bowling Triumph in Final ODI

Visakhapatnam: India showcased a remarkable comeback led by Prasidh Krishna and Kuldeep Yadav, restricting South Africa to a total of 270 runs in the decisive third ODI on Saturday, following Quinton De Kock's impressive 23rd century.

After winning the toss, India opted to bowl first, a decision influenced by the anticipated dew conditions.

Arshdeep Singh made an early breakthrough by dismissing Ryan Rickelton, but De Kock (106 runs off 89 balls, including 8 fours and 6 sixes) quickly established a solid partnership with captain Temba Bavuma (48 runs off 67 balls), accumulating 113 runs together.

De Kock was particularly aggressive against Prasidh, who struggled with his length early on, allowing the left-handed batsman to score heavily off him.

While Bavuma played a more cautious innings, De Kock maintained a brisk pace, reaching his fifty in just 42 balls and his century in 79.

India's fortunes shifted when Ravindra Jadeja induced a false shot from Bavuma, leading to a catch by Virat Kohli.

The South African innings gained momentum with a 54-run partnership between De Kock and Matthew Breetzke, putting them in a strong position at 168 for two.

However, Breetzke's aggressive batting prompted a strategic change from Indian captain KL Rahul, who reintroduced Prasidh into the attack.

This decision proved pivotal as Prasidh dismantled South Africa's top and middle order in a brilliant second spell, taking three wickets for just 11 runs.

He first trapped Breetzke lbw, followed by Aiden Markram's dismissal, who was caught by Kohli, and finally bowled De Kock with a full delivery.

Suddenly, South Africa found themselves in a precarious position at 199 for five, losing three wickets in quick succession.

With Prasidh's spell concluded, Kuldeep Yadav (4/41) stepped in to clean up the tail, ensuring South Africa fell short of a competitive total.
