Disqualification of Arun Kumar
Just before the commencement of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, India faced a major setback as judoka Arun Kumar was disqualified following an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF) from an out-of-competition doping test. As a result, Arun will not be able to participate in the men's 73 kg judo event this year. His name has been officially removed from the Sports Entries System for the 2026 Commonwealth Games after the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) issued the notification on Wednesday. The International Judo Federation (IJF) has also communicated this AAF to the event organizers and informed the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) about this significant issue.
