Belfast: In the first T20I match against Ireland, Indian captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to field first.


The Indian team has chosen a lineup featuring three specialist fast bowlers, one all-rounder, and two spinners, while the highly anticipated debut of teenage batting star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi did not materialize.


Iyer commented on Sooryavanshi's absence, stating, "Unfortunately, he won't debut today. He is an exceptional talent, but we have several outstanding players who have performed well, and we are placing our trust in them. He will have his opportunity in due time." He expressed confidence in the top three batsmen: Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, and Ishan Kishan.
