New Delhi, November 24: The Congress president, Mallikarjun Kharge, has expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the Indian Women’s Kabaddi Team for their remarkable achievement in winning the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup. They secured their second consecutive title with a 35-28 victory against Chinese Taipei in Dhaka. Kharge commended the team's resilience and tenacity.


In a post shared on X, Kharge stated, “India rejoices in World Cup success, driven by the strength and determination of our daughters! Congratulations to the Indian Women’s Kabaddi Team for clinching the Kabaddi World Cup 2025, your second title in a row after a fantastic 35-28 win over Chinese Taipei in Dhaka.”

India demonstrated exceptional form during the tournament, winning all their group matches to advance to the semi-finals, where they triumphed over Iran with a score of 33-21. Chinese Taipei also maintained an unbeaten streak in their group and defeated the host nation, Bangladesh, 25-18 in the semi-finals.
