On Thursday, the Indian Women's Hockey Team departed for their tour in Perth, Australia. They are set to compete in four matches against the Australian team on May 26, 27, 29, and 30 at the Perth Hockey Stadium. This tour presents a valuable opportunity for the Indian squad to engage in competitive matches against one of the top teams globally.

After their stint in Australia, the team will head to Auckland, New Zealand, to participate in the FIH Hockey Women's Nations Cup 2026, scheduled from June 15 to 21, as stated in a press release from Hockey India.

Captain Salima Tete shared her thoughts on the significance of the upcoming matches against Australia, emphasizing that they will be a vital part of their preparation. "The entire squad is eager for this tour.
