Navy Chief Celebrates World Champion Boxer
The Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, recognized Indian welterweight boxer Hitesh Gulia and his coach Suranjoy Singh for their remarkable achievements in the Boxing World Cups held in Brazil and Kazakhstan, culminating in a gold medal victory at the finals in India.
Hitesh Gulia's Winning Journey
Hitesh secured the men's 70kg gold medal at the World Boxing Cup Finals in Greater Noida, defeating Kazakhstan's Nurbek Mursal. Earlier in April, he made history by becoming the first Indian to win a gold medal at Stage 1 of the World Boxing Cup, followed by a silver medal at Stage II in Kazakhstan, and ultimately clinching gold in the finals.
