Indian Golfers Gear Up for Dutch Ladies Open at Goyer Golf Club
Indian Contingent at the Dutch Ladies Open
On May 16, in Hilversum, Netherlands, five Indian golfers are set to compete at the Dutch Ladies Open held at Goyer Golf and Country Club, marking the Ladies European Tour's transition from Asia to Europe. Leading the charge are Diksha Dagar and Pranavi Urs, alongside Tvesa Malik, Avani Prashanth, and Hitaashee Bakshi, who is making her LET debut outside of India.
Hitaashee has previously participated only in her home event, the Women’s Indian Open, and is eager to make an impact on this international stage. Currently ranked seventh in the LET Order of Merit, Diksha will be paired with Katie Hollern from the US and Sweden's Johanna Wrigley, having missed last year's tournament.
Pranavi will compete alongside Ireland's Lauren Walsh and Ana Pelaez Trivino from Spain. Avani is set to play with Argentina's Magdalena Simmermacher and Alexandra Swayne from the US Virgin Islands. Tvesa will team up with Germany's Patricia Isabel Schmidt and Annabell Fuller from England, while Hitaashee will join Clara Moyano Reigosa of Spain and Sweden's Linda Wessberg.
This year marks the first time the Dutch Ladies Open is hosted at Goyer Golf & Country Club, coinciding with the commencement of the 2025 European swing on the LET calendar. The event holds particular significance for Thai golfer Trichat Cheenglab, who won her first LET title at this tournament in 2023. After missing last year's edition due to LPGA commitments, her return is highly anticipated.
Trichat will begin her first round at 1:23 PM local time on Friday, playing alongside Kirsten Rudgeley from Australia and England's Liz Young. Emma Spitz, fresh off a strong T4 finish at the Aramco Korea Championship, aims to maintain her momentum, competing in the first round with England's Mimi Rhodes and Spain's Marta Martin.
