Exciting Day Ahead for Indian Athletes
On September 23, Indian athletes are set to continue their quest for medals at the Asian Games 2026, with a packed schedule featuring events in rowing, wushu, athletics, shooting, canoe sprint, and more.
Wushu competitor Roshibina Devi is poised to compete in the women's 60kg Sanda final, while Indian rowers are expected to participate in several medal events. In athletics, Asha Ilango and Niharika Vashisht will take part in the women's triple jump final, and Seema will compete in the women's 10,000m final. Additionally, top sprinters Animesh Kujur and Gurindervir Singh will kick off their campaigns in the men's 100m.
The day's events will commence at 5:10 AM IST with rowing, featuring Balraj Panwar in the men's singles sculls final, followed by Satnam Singh and Salman Khan in the men's doubles sculls final at 5:30 AM. Roshibina Devi will face China's Zhang Xiaoyu in the women's 60kg wushu Sanda final at 6:10 AM.
Shooting events will start at 6:15 AM, with Akash Bharadwaj, Kamaljeet, and Kedarling Balakrishna Uchaganve participating in the men's 10m air pistol qualification and team final.
At 6:30 AM, Parinaaz Dhaliwal and Anant Jeet Singh Naruka will compete in the skeet mixed team qualification and final, while table tennis duo Diya Chitale and Yashaswini Ghorpade will play their women's doubles Round 2 match.
