In a thrilling encounter marred by rain, Yashbardhan Chauhan emerged as the standout performer for India Under-19s, contributing significantly to their victory against Australia Under-19s in Rajkot. He scored a half-century and took two wickets, playing a pivotal role in the match.

India Secures Victory by 7 Runs

The match, reduced to a 20-over format, saw India set a target of 182 runs after batting first. They successfully limited Australia to 175 runs, thus taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match series, with Chauhan being the key player.

Focus on Prominent Young Players

The match highlighted the performances of Aryavir Sehwag, son of former Indian opener Virender Sehwag, and Anvay Dravid, son of ex-captain Rahul Dravid. Aryavir opened the innings and scored 28 runs off 26 balls, forming a solid partnership of 45 runs with skipper Lakshya Rajesh Raichandandi.

Anvay Dravid, batting at No. 6, made a notable impact with a quick 38 runs off just 18 balls, featuring two fours and three sixes, which helped India gain momentum towards the end of their innings.
