Antwerp (Belgium): The Indian men's hockey team achieved a significant victory against Belgium, winning 4-3 in the FIH Pro League on Sunday, marking their first win in the European segment after a streak of seven losses.
With the match tied at 3-3 and only two minutes remaining, India opted for a referral following a strong challenge in the circle. The decision favored India, allowing the talented Harmanpreet Singh to convert the penalty stroke and secure the win.
Belgium initially took the lead in the eighth minute with a stunning shot from Arthur de Sloover that found the top right corner, ending the first quarter with a 1-0 advantage.
