Harjai Milkha Singh and Krish Chawla showcased exceptional skill to lead India to victory in the boys' team category at the esteemed APGC Junior Golf Championship held at the Royal Colombo Golf Club in Colombo. The Indian pair achieved a remarkable combined score of nine-under par, narrowly defeating the strong South Korean duo of Jeyi Son and Jiyul Chun, as well as the Thai team of Jessada Chuangprayoon and Takrit Supagonchoowong by just one stroke. This three-day event, organized by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation, attracted 64 junior golfers from 15 different nations, including Singapore, South Korea, Chinese Taipei, India, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Myanmar, Oman, Qatar, Jordan, Malaysia, the UAE, the Philippines, and the host nation, Sri Lanka.
Individual Performances
Harjai delivered an outstanding performance, finishing as the runner-up with a score of seven-under 206 (69-70-67), just three shots behind South Korea's Jeyi Son. Meanwhile, Krish secured a tie for sixth place with a total score of two-under 211 (75-67-69). Unfortunately, the Indian girls' team, consisting of Guntas Kaur Sandhu (18th) and Rashi Mishra (19th), did not have a successful outing. Upon their return to Delhi, the team was warmly welcomed by officials from the Indian Golf Union (IGU) with garlands.

In a statement regarding his achievement, Harjai expressed, "I take immense pride in contributing to the boys' team victory at the APGC Junior Championship. Competing at the Royal Colombo Golf Club was a true challenge, and maintaining composure amidst some of the finest players from the Asia-Pacific region brings me great joy. I extend my gratitude to the IGU and the Sports Authority of India (SAI) for their unwavering support and guidance. I am committed to ensuring the Indian flag is raised high."
