In a gripping contest at the historic Lords, India faced a narrow defeat by 22 runs, allowing England to take a 2-1 lead in the series. The Indian batting lineup faltered dramatically in their second innings, collapsing to 112 for 8, which left their chances of victory hanging by a thread. However, Ravindra Jadeja emerged as a lone fighter, showcasing remarkable determination.

Jadeja contributed significantly, scoring 30 runs alongside Nitish Reddy, 35 runs with Jasprit Bumrah, and 23 runs with Mohammed Siraj. Despite India being bowled out for 170, Jadeja's unbeaten 61 highlighted his skill and tenacity.
