Nisshin: Ishan Kishan delivered an impressive performance, scoring an unbeaten 80 runs, leading India to a commanding 124-run victory over Sri Lanka in the Asian Games semi-final on Thursday.


After being put to bat first, India managed to score 169 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, thanks to Kishan's explosive 46-ball innings, which included four boundaries and five sixes, along with a brisk 38 runs off 21 balls from opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.


In response, Sri Lanka was bowled out for a mere 45 runs in just 9.5 overs. Jasprit Bumrah (2 wickets for 7 runs), Axar Patel (2 for 8), Abhishek Sharma (2 for 2), and Washington Sundar (1 for 18) were the standout bowlers for India.
