India's impressive performance in shooting continued as the team comprising Rudrankksh Patil, Parth Mane, and Himanshu Dhillon secured a silver medal in the men's 10m air rifle team event at the Asian Games 2026 held in Aichi-Nagoya on Monday. The Indian team achieved a score of 1890.1, falling short of China's first-place score of 1899.0. South Korea took home the bronze medal with a score of 1841.4. This victory marks India's third medal at the Asian Games 2026, all of which have been silver medals in shooting.

Individual Qualifying Round Highlights

In the individual qualifying round for the men's 10m air rifle, which also served as the team final, Rudrankksh secured third place with a score of 631.8, while Himanshu finished seventh with 630.0. Parth ended up in 11th place with a score of 628.3. Both Rudrankksh and Himanshu qualified for the individual final, which is set to take place later.

The trio's combined score of 1890.1 was a result of their individual performances in the qualifying event. Rudrankksh began with a score of 104.2 in his first series and improved significantly, finishing with 631.8 after six series. His scores were as follows: 210.2 in the second series, 315.9 in the third, 421.6 in the fourth, and 527.1 in the fifth.

Parth started with 104.5 and finished with a total of 628.3, improving his scores across the series: 208.2 in the second, 312.9 in the third, 417.9 in the fourth, and 521.6 in the fifth.

Himanshu had a challenging start with 105.3 but concluded with a score of 630.0, with his series scores being 209.9 in the second, 314.7 in the third, 421.0 in the fourth, and 525.6 in the fifth.
