Historic IPL Achievement: SRH Trio Surpasses 500 Runs in a Season
Record-Breaking Performance by SRH Players
In a remarkable feat, Abhishek Sharma, Heinrich Klaasen, and Ishan Kishan have become only the second batting trio in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to accumulate over 500 runs in a single season for one team.
This achievement was realized during a match against the reigning champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), where Abhishek set the tone with an explosive 22-ball 56, featuring four boundaries and five sixes, achieving a strike rate of 254.55. Following him, Kishan scored 79 runs off 46 balls, including eight fours and three sixes, while Klaasen contributed 51 runs from just 24 balls, helping SRH reach a total of 255/4 in their 20 overs.
Player Statistics Overview
Klaasen leads SRH as the top run-scorer and ranks third overall in the league, amassing 606 runs across 14 matches with an impressive average of 50.50 and a strike rate of 159.47, including six half-centuries. His highest score stands at 69. Ishan Kishan follows closely in fifth place with 569 runs in 14 innings, averaging 40.64 and boasting a strike rate exceeding 178, also with six fifties, and a top score of 91. Abhishek Sharma ranks sixth, having scored 563 runs in 14 innings at an average of 43.30 and a remarkable strike rate of 206.22, which includes one century and four fifties, with his best score being an unbeaten 135.
This trio is the second from a single team to achieve this milestone, following the earlier accomplishment by Gujarat Titans' skipper Shubman Gill (650 runs in 15 matches with six fifties), Sai Sudharsan (759 runs in 15 matches with a century and six fifties), and Jos Buttler (538 runs in 14 matches with five fifties) in 2025.
