Henrik Klaasen Sets IPL Record with Fastest Century for Sunrisers Hyderabad
Henrik Klaasen's Historic Century
In a remarkable feat, Henrik Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad has made history in the current IPL season. He scored a century off just 27 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders, making him the fastest player to reach 100 runs for Hyderabad.
This century is now recorded as the third-fastest in IPL history. Klaasen's achievement places him just behind a player from Rajasthan Royals in the record books.
Previously, Chris Gayle set a record in 2013 by scoring a century in 30 balls while playing for Bengaluru against Pune Warriors. Additionally, in the ongoing IPL 2025 season, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a century in 35 balls against Gujarat Titans. Klaasen's recent performance against KKR, where he reached his century in 37 balls, has now secured his name in this prestigious list.
Thanks to Klaasen's explosive century, Sunrisers Hyderabad achieved their third-highest score in IPL history, amassing 278 runs for the loss of three wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders. Hyderabad also holds the records for the two highest scores in IPL history, having set a record of 287 runs against RCB last season in 2024. Earlier this season, they scored 286 runs against Royals, marking the second-highest score in IPL history.
