The 34-year-old South African has accumulated a remarkable 606 runs this season, becoming the first player to exceed the 600-run threshold in this batting position. He eclipsed Pant's previous record of 579 runs set in 2018 while playing for Delhi Capitals. Riyan Parag follows in third place with 573 runs for Rajasthan Royals in the 2024 season, while Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell round out the top five with 538 and 513 runs, respectively.

In addition to his record-breaking runs, Klaasen has also become the fifth player in Sunrisers Hyderabad's history to reach 2000 runs for the franchise.
