AEW Collision Highlights

The recent episode of AEW Collision was held at the Andrew J Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, just a week before the highly anticipated AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 event set to take place in London. This episode saw significant developments in the AEW women's division, including notable returns.

Harley Cameron made her comeback after a three-month injury layoff, marking a significant moment in the show.

In a standout match from the August 16 episode, Kris Statlander triumphed in a four-way contest for a $100,000 cash prize, competing against Penelope Ford, Anna Jay, and Julia Hart. However, her victory was short-lived as Skye Blue and Thekla attacked her immediately after.

Queen Aminata attempted to assist Statlander but was overwhelmed by the opposing team. Meanwhile, Ford executed a rear choke on Jay, prompting Tay Melo to intervene, only to be thwarted by Megan Bayne, who shifted the momentum back to the heels.

Harley Cameron's Target: Megan Bayne

Cameron's return was marked by her unique appearance, complete with a cat-themed protective mask and a chained guitar head, as she aimed to clear the ring. Bayne attempted to confront her but was held back by Ford, leading them to retreat backstage.

In a backstage interview segment, Cameron joined Statlander to discuss her return, but they were interrupted by Jon Moxley and the Death Riders. Moxley acknowledged Statlander before leaving, followed by Wheeler Yuta's congratulations, which Statlander received with indifference.

Previously, Cameron and Anna Jay faced a tough defeat against Bayne and Ford in a No Disqualification tag match, resulting in Cameron sustaining a bloody nose, which appeared to be broken after Bayne slammed her onto the steel steps. Cameron had also made an appearance at All In: Texas, where she distracted Bayne during a women's Gauntlet Match.
