Hardik achieved his half-century in a mere 16 balls, marking it as the second-fastest fifty by an Indian in T20 internationals, earning him the Player of the Match title.

Winning the toss, South Africa opted to bowl first. India set a formidable target, scoring 231 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Hardik received excellent support from Tilak Varma, who contributed a remarkable 73 runs. Their partnership of 105 runs for the fourth wicket was crucial in turning the match in India's favor.
