Ahmedabad: In a thrilling IPL encounter, Suryansh Shedge showcased his talent with a remarkable 57 runs, yet the Gujarat Titans managed to limit the Punjab Kings to a mere 163 runs for nine wickets on Sunday.

The Titans' bowlers, particularly Mohammed Siraj and Jason Holder, wreaked havoc early on, leaving Punjab struggling at 47 for five within just 8.4 overs.

Shedge's impressive 29-ball innings, which included a vital 79-run partnership for the sixth wicket with Marcus Stoinis (40), provided some respite for Punjab.

Known for his ability to stabilize innings in domestic cricket, Shedge applied his experience effectively, demonstrating patience against the formidable GT bowlers.

He seized the moment in the 14th over bowled by Manav Suthar, smashing 26 runs, including three sixes and two fours, to reach his fifty in just 24 balls.

However, his innings came to an end shortly after, as he edged a delivery from Rabada (2/22) to Jos Buttler behind the stumps, leading to another collapse for PBKS.

Earlier in the match, Siraj's exceptional form continued as he dismissed Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly in consecutive deliveries during the first over.
