In Guadalupe, Mexico, on June 29, Morocco's head coach, Mohamed Ouahbi, expressed confidence in his team's strong performances throughout the group stage of the FIFA World Cup 2026. However, he acknowledged that their upcoming Round of 32 match against the Netherlands presents a unique challenge that will require tailored strategies.

Morocco secured their place in the knockout rounds by amassing seven points from their matches against Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti, finishing second in Group C, just behind Brazil, who are five-time champions, due to goal difference.

Ouahbi emphasized the importance of adapting their approach for the next match, stating, "In our last three games, we demonstrated our ability to perform well and showed strong character on the field.
