The Philadelphia Union took an early lead in the 11th minute with a goal from Indiana Vassilev. Inter Miami responded in the 21st minute when Academy graduate Pinter netted his first goal in MLS.

Messi played a crucial role in the equalizer, delivering a precise pass to Suárez on the left side of the box. Suárez then headed the ball towards Pinter, who finished from close range. This assist marked Messi's ninth of the season, while Suárez recorded his eighth.
