Can England Break The Jinx?

Entering the World Cup, England has just completed a training camp in West Palm Beach, Florida, where they secured victories against New Zealand in Tampa and Costa Rica in Orlando during friendly matches. The last time England lifted the World Cup trophy was in 1966, and they have struggled to make a mark in major tournaments since then, failing to secure any significant titles, including the Euros. Nevertheless, optimism surrounds the team as they prepare for the FIFA World Cup 2026, boasting a formidable lineup led by star striker Harry Kane. Many analysts suggest this could be England's best opportunity to clinch the World Cup, especially after reaching the finals in the last two Euros, indicating a positive trend for the squad. England is placed in Group L alongside Croatia, Ghana, and Panama. Following their match against Croatia, they will face Ghana on June 23 and Panama on June 27. This World Cup will feature 48 teams, making it the largest in history.
