He worked in a dressmaking factory with his teammates, washed cars—including the SUV of Iranian football legend Ali Daei, whom he admired but felt too shy to approach for help—and even worked night shifts at a pizza shop. Additionally, he took a job as a street cleaner, sweeping the parks of Tehran.
