Exciting News Conference for World Cup 2026 Final

New Jersey [US], July 16: FIFA is preparing to host a press conference for the final of the ongoing World Cup 2026, allowing fans to attend for a fee exceeding USD 80. This event will feature discussions with the coaches and players from the two finalist teams, alongside FIFA president Gianni Infantino, as they talk about the upcoming match in New Jersey, as reported by ESPN.


Spain has already secured its spot in the final after defeating France in the semifinals, while either Argentina or England will compete against La Roja for the championship.


FIFA is allowing a select group of fans to participate in the World Cup 2026 final press conference at New York City's Javits Center on Friday, marking a departure from the usual pre-match press conference held the day before the game.


This event is being organized by FIFA's commercial partner, Fanatics, as part of the four-day Fanatics Fest, which will also provide fans with opportunities to purchase autographs and take photos with sports stars.


A family pass for the four-day event is priced at USD 857.04, while an adult ticket for the press conference on Friday costs USD 81.54.


As per ESPN, while coaches and players from the finalists are expected to attend, fans will only be spectators and will not have the chance to pose questions.


In the football action, Spain achieved a convincing 2-0 victory over France in the first semifinal of the FIFA World Cup 2026, marking their second appearance in the tournament final in history.


Forward Mikel Oyarzabal opened the scoring with a penalty after French defender Lucas Digne was penalized for a foul on Spanish player Lamine Yamal. Fullback Pedro Porro then extended Spain's lead, finishing into the bottom corner following a brilliant flicked through-ball from midfielder Dani Olmo, sealing the win.


Spain will now face the winner of the semifinal clash between Argentina and England in the final.
