Federico Staksrud, the top-ranked singles pickleball player globally, has introduced his inaugural signature paddle in collaboration with JOOLA, named the Kosmos Pro V. In a conversation with Kitchen Pickleball, Staksrud shared his enthusiasm for this partnership and the innovative design process behind the paddle. He stated, “I’m really thrilled about this paddle. The new shape is a blend of the Perseus and Scorpius models that I’ve been experimenting with over the past few years.”

Staksrud described the Kosmos Pro V as a combination of the best features from two well-known models, creating a balanced paddle. “It offers the power of the Perseus while also providing the maneuverability and speed of the Scorpius,” he elaborated. The paddle features a thickness of 16mm, a choice made intentionally by the Argentine athlete. “I prefer the 16mm thickness because it slices through the air more smoothly,” he noted. “It’s slightly heavier, which aids in control shots, making it easier for me to handle.”

In addition to its performance attributes, Staksrud emphasized the paddle's adaptability for players of all skill levels. “It’s very forgiving, making it ideal for beginners, yet it’s also highly competitive,” he remarked. “I believe everyone should give this shape a try at least once, as it’s incredibly user-friendly.”
