The mixed doubles final is poised for an exciting conclusion as the top two seeds have been eliminated at the Singapore Open. The sixth-seeded duo of J. Minniefield and L. Pham will face off against the seventh-seeded pair of X. Wang-Beckvall and R. Stirling on Sunday. Both teams secured their spots in the final after hard-fought victories in Saturday's semifinals held at The Sports Arena, Singapore Expo.

In their semifinal match, Minniefield and Pham triumphed over the second seeds, Y. Long and L. Pascoe, with scores of 9-11, 11-0, and 11-8. After dropping the first game, they rallied impressively to win the next two. Meanwhile, Wang-Beckvall and Stirling overcame the fifth seeds, K. Wheatley and H. Kit Wong, with a scoreline of 3-11, 11-5, and 11-6. Wong is also in pursuit of his third consecutive PPA Tour Asia singles title this week, but his momentum did not carry into this match.

Both semifinal matches took place on Court CC on Saturday evening, with the first match starting at 5:29 PM local time, followed by the second at 6:51 PM. With the semifinals concluded, the mixed doubles championship will be claimed by a new team, as both the top seeds, N. Tang and E. Kim, and the second seeds, Long and Pascoe, have been eliminated.

This marks the inaugural 500-tier event of the PPA Tour Asia in Singapore. The mixed doubles final is set to be one of the highlights on the final day, alongside the bronze playoffs. Sponsored by Leapmotor, the event boasts a total prize pool of US$70,000 and 500 PPA ranking points across all categories. The final on Sunday at The Sports Arena will determine the winners of the gold medal points and prize money in mixed doubles, concluding four days of thrilling pickleball action at the city's premier venue.
