T20 Asia Cup 2025 to Take Place in UAE

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially revealed that the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 will be hosted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9 to 28, 2025.


This tournament aims to unite the leading cricket teams from Asia, promising an exhilarating celebration of the sport, as stated in an ACC announcement.


ACC President Mohsin Naqvi expressed, “Bringing the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 to the UAE provides an opportunity for fans across Asia to gather in a setting that reflects our region's rich diversity. The thrilling matches will serve as a powerful reminder of cricket's ability to connect people.”


For the first time, the tournament will feature eight teams, an increase from the previous six, thus offering a broader competitive landscape for emerging cricket nations.


Naqvi further noted, “The ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup is the premier event in Asian cricket, and we are excited to offer an expanded platform this year. This marks a significant milestone in the ACC's journey and a positive step for cricket in Asia. The inclusion of more teams signifies the growth of the game, both in terms of geography and competition. This will be the Asia Cup at its best.”


The tournament will kick off with a match between Afghanistan and Hong Kong on September 9. India will begin their journey against the UAE on September 10, with a highly anticipated clash against Pakistan set for September 14.


India's last group stage match will be against Oman on September 19. Following the group stage, the tournament will advance to the Super 4, where the top two teams from each group will compete. The final match is scheduled for September 28.


Group A includes India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman, while Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong.
