Enhanced Security Measures for Lucknow Super Giants vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Match
Tight Security Protocols in Place
The atmosphere surrounding Ekana Cricket Stadium is charged yet orderly as the Lucknow Super Giants gear up to compete against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 19. Local law enforcement has mobilized to ensure safety, with roads, routes, and parking areas under vigilant surveillance. The Lucknow Police have implemented a comprehensive security and traffic management strategy to prevent disorder and facilitate smooth transit.
Traffic Diversions and Restrictions
From 2 PM until midnight, all access roads to the stadium will experience diversions and barricades. Heavy and commercial vehicles will be prohibited from entering areas around Shaheed Path and major approach routes such as Sultanpur, Rae Bareli, Kanpur, and Ayodhya starting at 3 PM. Diversion points have been established at Kamta Tiraha, Lekhraj, Telibagh, and Barabirwa, where unauthorized vehicles will be either halted or redirected.
Key Road Closures and Traffic Guidance
Shaheed Path, an essential thoroughfare, will be partially closed from 2 PM to 9 PM. Traffic on Sultanpur Road will be redirected at Amul Tiraha, guiding drivers towards Lulu Mall. Access to the Police HQ from Ekana Tiraha will be restricted, and U-turns at Ahmamau will not be permitted. Only vehicles using alternate routes through Chhakbag Chauraha and Kisanpath will be allowed to reach the stadium.
Entry Regulations and Parking Information
At the stadium gates, strict measures will be enforced. Only physical tickets with visible QR codes will be accepted; screenshots, digital versions, or e-passes will not be allowed. Entry will commence three hours prior to the toss at 7:30 PM, and gates will close once the second innings begins. Once exited, re-entry will not be permitted.
Private vehicles with passes can park near the stadium via Ahmamau or Phoenix Palassio Mall, while others must park near the mall area. Two-wheelers will be directed to the back lanes. VIP vans and outside broadcasting vehicles will have designated exit routes through Lulu Mall or PPN Chowki. Any illegally parked vehicles near the stadium will be towed.
App-based taxis like Ola and Uber will not be allowed to drop off passengers at the venue. Designated drop-off zones are located away from Shaheed Path, and airport taxis must leave passengers at barricade points. E-rickshaws and auto-rickshaws will also face restrictions, needing to drop passengers at least 500 meters away and follow specific return routes.
