Beginning this August, DUPR will implement AI-driven video analysis to enhance its player rating system, providing a richer data set beyond just match outcomes. As reported by The Dink Pickleball, this new approach merges competitive match results with insights derived from video performance, aiming to offer players a comprehensive understanding of their on-court abilities, rather than merely indicating wins or losses.

DUPR currently serves over 2 million players across more than 15,000 clubs, leagues, tournaments, and governing bodies. Players can record their matches using smart courts or personal devices, and this video footage will now be analyzed using AI technology to bolster the rating system.

Starting in August, the ratings will incorporate AI video analysis from various tech partners, complementing match results to provide players with deeper insights into their gameplay.
