Dharamsala: In a thrilling display, Priyansh Arya smashed six sixes during his rapid 33-ball innings of 56, helping Punjab Kings set a target of 210 runs against Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League on Monday.

Facing a must-win situation, Delhi Capitals chose to bowl first in their season opener at the picturesque Dharamsala, making five changes to their lineup.

The high altitude of Dharamsala allowed the ball to soar off the bat, a fact highlighted in the opening over bowled by Mitchell Starc, who had a challenging outing.

Priyansh took full advantage of Starc's over, scoring 22 runs, including a first-ball six, and continued to dominate against Lungi Ngidi and Mukesh Kumar.

Starc, in search of swing, struggled as DC bowlers realized that full deliveries were not effective, conceding 51 runs in the first three overs.

Aquib Nabi played a crucial role in DC's comeback, managing to seam the ball effectively and putting pressure on Priyansh during the latter part of the powerplay.

Priyansh's opening partner, Prabhsimran Singh, struggled to find his rhythm, scoring 18 runs off 15 balls before being caught at fine leg off Mukesh's bowling.
