Investigators report that the case began on February 1, when Arnold and some friends claimed a burglary occurred at an Airbnb in Largo, Florida, where they were staying. The reported theft included around $100,000 in cash, an $80,000 necklace, and other valuables totaling over $250,000. Authorities allege that Arnold and two accomplices believed they knew the identity of the burglars. Three days later, a plan was allegedly devised to lure one of the suspected thieves to a Tampa apartment. According to police, when three men arrived shortly before midnight on February 4, two co-defendants emerged from a closet, brandished firearms, and assaulted the victims. It is claimed that one suspect livestreamed the attack to Arnold while he was en route to the location. Upon his arrival, Arnold allegedly directed others to bring the victims inside, where they were reportedly beaten, robbed, and held captive. Investigators assert that the victims were later forced into their own vehicle and released approximately 100 minutes after the incident began. Authorities have identified Arnold as the primary conspirator in this case.

Arnold's legal team has vehemently denied the charges, arguing that the prosecution is relying heavily on testimonies from convicted individuals seeking leniency. There is no credible evidence linking Mr. Arnold to these allegations. Instead, the government appears to be relying on testimony from multiple convicted felons who have admitted their own involvement and may have substantial incentives to shift blame in an effort to lessen their sentences.
