Tournament Details
Scheduled from April 2 to 9, 2026, the matches will take place at the DC Ball Park Ground in Palam Vihar and the AB Rising Cricket Academy in Chhawla. This week-long event will see seven academies, including international teams, competing in the U13 and U15 categories.
The tournament aims to provide a structured competitive environment, ensuring each team plays at least 4-5 matches. This initiative is focused on giving young cricketers regular match exposure while familiarizing them with the standards of the Delhi Capitals setup. A significant feature of the DC Global Academy Cup is the chance for players to engage with the broader Delhi Capitals ecosystem, including experiences akin to IPL match days. The tournament will be hosted at professional venues, guaranteeing a premium playing experience for all participants.

Sunil Gupta, CEO of Delhi Capitals, emphasized the importance of the Academy Cup, stating, "At Delhi Capitals, we are dedicated to establishing a robust pathway for young cricketers. The DC Global Academy Cup is a crucial step in this direction. By uniting academies from various regions, including international ones, we aim to foster competitive cricket from an early age."
"Grassroots development is a primary focus for us at DC. Through initiatives like this, we strive to provide young players with valuable opportunities to play, learn, and grasp the game's demands in a structured setting. It's equally vital for us to expose them to the professional environment surrounding the sport today," he added.

Enhancing the Talent Pathway
Exceptional performers from this tournament will be monitored closely as part of the Delhi Capitals' ongoing talent identification and development strategy.
The franchise has consistently supported grassroots cricket, exemplified by the recent DC School Cup in 2025, which offered young players across Delhi the opportunity to compete at prestigious venues like the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The DC Global Academy Cup elevates this vision, creating a more competitive platform for academy players and reinforcing the franchise's pathway from early development to advanced levels of the sport.
