Dane van Niekerk's Injury Update

Dane van Niekerk, an all-rounder for the South Africa Women's cricket team, will not continue on the tour to New Zealand due to a right calf injury, as announced by the Proteas Women on social media.


The announcement detailed that Van Niekerk experienced discomfort just before the first T20 International (T20I). A medical scan later confirmed the severity of her injury, necessitating rehabilitation. In her absence, Anneke Bosch from the Fidelity Titans has been selected as her replacement for the remainder of the tour.


Additionally, Van Niekerk's spouse, veteran all-rounder Marizanne Kapp, is also sidelined as she recovers from an illness.
