Ronaldo's Remarkable Achievement in Saudi Arabia
On August 24, in Hong Kong, Cristiano Ronaldo, the star striker for Al Nassr, reached a significant milestone by scoring his 100th goal for the club during the Saudi Super Cup final against Al Ahli. The match concluded in a dramatic penalty shootout, with Al Nassr losing 3-5 after a 2-2 draw in regular time.
Regarded as one of the greatest footballers in history and a prolific goal-scorer, Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in 2023, becoming the highest-paid athlete globally, according to reports. He now holds the unique record of being the only player to have netted 100 goals for four different clubs.
His inaugural goal in Saudi Arabia came during a friendly match against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), where he played alongside athletes from both Al Nassr and Al Hilal.
Ronaldo made his debut in the Saudi Pro League with a 1-0 victory over Al-Ettifaq, scoring his first goal in a draw against Al-Fateh, and later achieving his first hat-trick in a 4-0 triumph over Al Wehad.
In February 2023, he was honored with the Saudi Pro League Player of the Month award after scoring eight goals and providing two assists. During the 2023-24 season, he set a new record in the league by scoring 35 goals, surpassing the previous record of 34 held by Abderrazak Hamdallah since 2019.
Ronaldo's contributions have also led to team success, including winning the inaugural Arab Club Champions Cup against their rivals, Al Hilal, where two of his goals were pivotal.
To date, he has scored 74 goals in 77 appearances in the Saudi Pro League, bringing his total to 100 goals across 113 matches.
