Zlatan Ibrahimovic Celebrates Norway's Historic Win Over Brazil in World Cup

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has lauded Norway's historic victory over Brazil in the World Cup, comparing their journey to Sweden's 1994 success. He praised Norway's tactical discipline and highlighted Erling Haaland's impressive performance. Despite Brazil's dominance, Norway's resilience shone through, leading to a stunning 2-1 win. Ibrahimovic Reflects on Norway's Triumph

In a recent video shared by a prominent sports channel, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the former Swedish football star, praised Norway's remarkable victory against Brazil. This win marked Norway's first-ever advancement to the World Cup quarterfinals, reminiscent of Sweden's impressive third-place finish in the 1994 FIFA World Cup.

Ibrahimovic highlighted Norway's tactical discipline and resilience while expressing disappointment in Brazil's performance. He stated, "When the lion is hungry, he eats," emphasizing the determination of the Norwegian team.

He drew parallels between Norway's journey and Sweden's past, saying, "This Norway reminds me of Sweden, World Cup '94. Let's see if they can achieve what Sweden did. Sweden finished third, and it's beautiful to see Norway continue to push forward."

The former striker criticized Brazil's lackluster display throughout the tournament, noting that the tactical adjustments made by coach Carlo Ancelotti did not yield positive results. He remarked, "Brazil never convinced me, not since their first game, and the changes Carlo made today didn’t work. In contrast, Solbakken's changes were effective, and it felt like Norway was playing Joga Bonito while Brazil was lost in their approach."

Ibrahimovic also praised Norway's Erling Haaland, who scored two crucial goals in the match. He stated, "We’re enjoying Haaland. I mentioned before the game that he was the player to watch. Will he go a game without scoring? Not yet, he added another two today."

Norway's stunning 2-1 victory over Brazil in the Round of 16 at MetLife Stadium secured their place in the quarter-finals for the first time in history. Despite Brazil's dominance and a missed penalty by Bruno Guimaraes, Norway's goalkeeper Orjan Nyland made several key saves, while Haaland's late goals sealed the win. Neymar's stoppage-time penalty for Brazil was not enough to change the outcome, marking Brazil's seventh consecutive World Cup knockout defeat to European teams.
