Young batting prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi found himself in a tense situation following a closely contested tri-series match against Sri Lanka A, which India A lost in a Super Over finish.

In the Super Over, India required 17 runs to secure victory but could only muster nine runs against the bowling of Kaguthas Mathulan, marking their second consecutive defeat.

Sooryavanshi, who faced the final three balls from Mathulan, scored just six runs, including a solitary boundary.

Post-match, the Sri Lankan team celebrated exuberantly, while Sooryavanshi and his teammate Suryansh Shedge made their way back to the pavilion.

However, cameras captured Sooryavanshi angrily approaching Mathulan, with teammate Vishen Halambage intervening. The confrontation likely stemmed from comments made by Mathulan after successfully bowling to the 15-year-old.
