Amanpreet Singh Gill was born on September 16, 1989, and was known for his skills as a right-arm medium-fast bowler and right-handed batsman. He represented both the India U19 team and the Punjab Domestic Cricket Team. Amanpreet was a gifted bowler who shared the field with notable players like Saurabh Tiwary, Ravindra Jadeja, and Virat Kohli. Although he played only six first-class matches, he secured an IPL contract with Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in 2009, remaining with the team until 2010. Despite being part of a squad that included cricket legends such as Yuvraj Singh and Brett Lee, he unfortunately did not get the chance to play in the IPL.
