Amanpreet Singh Gill's Untimely Demise


Amanpreet Singh Gill, a former cricketer from Punjab, has sadly passed away at the age of 36 on May 6. The fast bowler was associated with the IPL team Kings XI Punjab, now known as Punjab Kings, and also represented the India Under-19 squad. The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) has conveyed its deep sorrow regarding the loss of this talented player, who later served on the selection committee.


Born in Chandigarh in September 1989, Amanpreet's life was cut short at 36 years and 232 days. In addition to his role in the IPL with Punjab Kings, he played for the Punjab cricket team in domestic competitions and was a member of the India U19 team. The PCA expressed their condolences on social media, stating, "Punjab Cricket Association deeply mourns the sad demise of Amanpreet Singh Gill, former Punjab cricketer and Member, Senior Selection Committee Punjab." They extended heartfelt sympathies to his family, wishing for Waheguru to grant peace to his soul and strength to his loved ones during this challenging time.
