However, his prospects with the national squad appear dim, as numerous reports suggest that his recent poor performance may lead to his removal as captain. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) may have further complicated his situation by excluding him from the long list submitted to the International Olympic Association (IOA) for the upcoming Asian Games 2026. This list comprises 30 players, from which the final team will be selected. Notably, all members of the T20 World Cup-winning squad are included, except for Yadav.
