Yadav also addressed rumors regarding his retirement, clarifying that he intends to continue playing at least until the next T20 World Cup in 2028. He stated, "Winning the Olympic gold is the next target and the T20 World Cup in the same year," during a post-match press conference.

India's coach, Gautam Gambhir, who accompanied Yadav at the press conference, dedicated their recent T20 World Cup victory to former coach Rahul Dravid and BCCI's Center of Excellence chairman, VVS Laxman. "I dedicate this trophy to Rahul bhai and VVS Laxman," Gambhir remarked.
