After India's defeat in the final, players including Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami and Ravichandran Ashwin shared their thoughts. After the painful defeat in the final match, the cricketers expressed their thoughts and feelings.

During the final match against Australia, India scored a total of 240 runs in 50 overs. Virat Kohli (54 off 63 balls) and KL Rahul (66 off 107 balls) made valuable contributions. Travis Head played a brilliant innings, scored a century and guided his team to a sixth World Cup title.

India entered the 2023 World Cup finals unbeaten, winning all nine league games and beating New Zealand by 70 runs in the semi-finals. Despite being considered favourites, the Rohit Sharma-led team failed to cross the finish line and finished as runners-up.

The legendary batsman Virat Kohli was adjudged the player of the tournament for his outstanding batting performance throughout the tournament. Kohli scored a record-breaking total of 765 runs in 11 innings at an impressive average of 95.62 with three centuries and six fifties.

Skipper Rohit Sharma emerged as the second highest run scorer with 597 runs. Mohammed Shami was the top wicket-taker with 24 scalps in seven matches. Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav also contributed with the ball.
