Suruchi Singh's Triumph at the Asian Games

New Delhi, September 28 – Shooter Suruchi Singh, who recently secured a gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games, expressed her joy over representing India and her ambition to achieve further success on the international stage, with the Olympics as her ultimate goal.

Teaming up with Kamaljeet in the 10m air pistol mixed team event, Suruchi and her partner achieved a remarkable score of 484.6 points, surpassing South Korea, which took home the silver with 478.0 points. Iran finished third with 415.8 points, while Indonesia was eliminated with a score of 349.4 points.

Upon her return to Delhi Airport, Suruchi shared her excitement about winning a medal for her country and her eagerness to continue this winning streak.

She emphasized her commitment to raising the Indian flag high and expressed her desire to secure more medals in future competitions. Suruchi dedicated her achievements to her parents and coach, stating, "I feel great and have been looking forward to winning a medal for India. I aim to keep our tricolor flying high and aspire to bring home gold in upcoming events. The Olympics are also on my mind, and I will take it step by step."

Additionally, Suruchi and Kamaljeet set a new Asian record, breaking the previous mark of 481.3 set by Uzbekistan earlier this year during the Asian Shooting Championships in New Delhi.
