Krishnamachari Srikkanth expressed his discontent regarding coach Gautam Gambhir's management of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. After making his long-anticipated debut in England, Vaibhav struggled in his initial three matches and was subsequently dropped from the team. However, he made a strong comeback in the first T20I against Zimbabwe, scoring an impressive fifty off just 19 balls. Srikkanth criticized the decision to drop him after only three games, suggesting that it severely impacted his confidence. He remarked, "He possesses an effortless array of shots, yet not a single one was cross-batted. This young talent is truly exceptional.
