After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the Sri Lankan Lions set a formidable target of 215 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their 20 overs. Asela Gunaratne was the standout performer, scoring an impressive 98 runs off just 53 balls.

Thisara Perera also made a significant contribution, adding a quickfire 68 runs from 30 balls, which helped propel Sri Lanka to their commanding total.

In reply, the Indian Royals, featuring notable players like Naman Ojha and other former international cricketers, struggled to keep up with the required run rate against a disciplined bowling performance from the Sri Lankan side.
