Dubai [UAE], September 3: In a stunning display of batting, Smriti Mandhana scored an impressive 124 runs off just 64 deliveries, guiding India Women to a total of 193/5 in their Women’s Asia Cup 2026 Group A match against Hong Kong Women at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.

From the very beginning, Mandhana showcased her prowess, hitting 14 boundaries and seven sixes, achieving an extraordinary strike rate of 193.55.

With this remarkable century, the Indian opener not only became the top run-scorer in women's international cricket but also surpassed Meg Lanning to set a new record for the most international centuries in women's cricket.

Opening the innings with Shafali Verma, Mandhana received solid support as Verma contributed 28 runs off 17 balls, which included three fours and two sixes. The duo put together a partnership of 74 runs before Verma was dismissed by Ruchitha Venkatesh.

After the power-play, Mandhana accelerated her scoring, demonstrating complete dominance.

Pratika Rawal added 10 runs from 12 balls before Joyleen Kaur took her wicket, while Richa Ghosh managed 11 runs off 13 balls, including a boundary, before being dismissed by Marina Lamplough.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur joined Mandhana later in the innings but could only score 10 runs off 9 balls before being dismissed.

For Hong Kong, Marina Lamplough took two wickets, while Ruchitha Venkatesh and Joyleen Kaur each claimed one wicket.
